Key Workflows & Best Practices
Section titled “Key Workflows & Best Practices”1. Two-Step Bump Verification
Section titled “1. Two-Step Bump Verification”When Two-Step Confirmation is active:
- Tap 1 (Ready): Marks the line item green with a checkmark, notifying expediter or waitstaff that the dish is cooked.
- Tap 2 (Completed): Bumps and clears the item from the kitchen station when handed over to the customer.
2. Fast-Casual vs. Table Dining Routing
Section titled “2. Fast-Casual vs. Table Dining Routing”- Table Dining (Dine-in): Keep Defer Creation Until After Payment turned
OFF. Orders fire to the kitchen immediately upon tappingSend. - Fast-Casual / Counter Service: Turn Defer Creation Until After Payment
ON. Kitchen monitors only receive items once payment is confirmed, preventing wasted inventory on abandoned tickets.
3. Combo Headers
Section titled “3. Combo Headers”When bundling meal deals (e.g., Burger + Fries + Drink), enabling Create Combo Header as Parent ensures the kitchen assembler sees the complete set grouped together on one card.
