Menu overview

The menu products are the core of your QUEUE system usage. To allow for greater flexibility in adjusting your store’s menu items, all additions, edits, and deletions to the menu content can be changed at any time in the Menu settings.
For stores using self-ordering or third-party delivery integration platforms, you can start selling simply by configuring and synchronizing the menu from QUEUE to the external platforms.

Products

  • Category: Group your offerings into logical categories for easy browsing and organization. This also allows you to view the overall sales performance of product categories in sales reports.
  • Product: Products are the items on your menu. You can create core items within each category, representing the items you want to sell.
  • Variant: Variants are the actual sellable prices and options, used to define the type as a single item or a combo.

Product Options

  • Product Option Category: Classify your customization options into categories for easier ordering and browsing. This also allows you to view the overall sales performance of product option categories in reports.
  • Product Options: Add extra context and customization (e.g., size, flavor, toppings, discount).

QUEUE POS menu allows you to set the product type at the variant level, divided into two types: Single and Combo items. Single items can only be sold individually but can be customized using Product Options. Combo items are made up of a combination of single items and are sold at a set or promotional price. The combo item itself cannot be paired with Product Options, but the combo variants within the combo item will follow their original single item product option settings.

Single items can be sold independently and can be paired with Product Options to add customized adjustments to the product. For example: “Iced Coffee with Extra Sugar and Extra Ice.” Iced coffee is a single item. To allow consumers to customize it, Product Options can be used to label additions like “Extra Sugar” and “Extra Ice,” or even a “Discount” to apply a discount to the single item.

Combo items are composed of single items as combo variants of the combo and are sold at a discounted price or as a set, offering customers more choices. For example: “Ribeye Steak Combo.” The combo includes a main dish, an appetizer, and a drink. The main dish group’s combo variant is the Ribeye Steak. The appetizer group’s combo variant can be a choice between Baked Potato or Salad, while the drink group’s combo variant are more diverse, allowing the customer to choose a soda with no extra charge or upgrade to a coffee for an additional fee.

All additions, edits, and deletions to the product content can be changed at any time in the Menu settings and synchronize immediately. If you wish to apply new menu content later, please use the menu draft mode to edit the menu.

The QUEUE POS menu structure consists of three main levels: Category > Product > Variant. For setup instructions, please proceed to Menu item settings

Pairing products with Product Option settings can meet specific consumer needs, and can also be used by the store for single-item discounts (e.g., “Sweetness,” “Ice Level,” “Toppings,” or “Discount”). Classifying customization options into categories allows you to add rules to the customizations to reduce instances of choices being forgotten. For setup instructions, please proceed to Product Options settings

Each product can be independently set to print worklists (kitchen receipts) and the format of the list on a designated printer. If you only need all worklists to be printed from the same printer, you only need to complete the general Worklist Printing settings. For setup instructions, please proceed to Worklist Printing Settings If you need to further configure each product to print from different printers or print in different types, you can designate a worklist, allowing different worklists to prepare meals more clearly.
